The truth is hard sometimes but here it is, insurance isn't what it used to be. Seriously, Insurance just doesn't really cover anything they deem "alternative". Sure, people think they do and many chiropractors offices do act like your coverage is "the bomb" (Ha Ha) but truthfully, the deductibles have gone through the roof and the "co-pays" are a joke. You go in thinking you won't own much and then everyone acts surprised when the insurance denies paying due to deductibles not being met or services not being covered.
Here is the short version of our cash (or card) type office fees. The special offer for the initial office visit for an Adjustment or basic Dry Needle Acupuncture is only $60. After that, the Chiropractic Adjustment or basic Dry Needle Acupuncture Treatments are only $45 for one or $60 for both. That $60 includes a basic (roughly) 15 minute Dry Needle Acupuncture Treatment to the area of the chief complaint along with a full spine Chiropractic Adjustment. In the event this treatment needs to be longer, a 30 minute Dry Needle Acupuncture Session is $75, with adjustment $90).
I always plan on NO surprises so always feel free to ask.
After the first visit a Chiropractic Adjustment is just $45. In the event you need more regular Adjustments then you can schedule weekly or bi-weekly adjustments and save $10 or more per visit, so again, please ask.
Spinal Disc Decompression Treatments are only $75 (20-30 minutes) and, in the beginning, that treatment includes Interferential Therapy with Ice or Heat at no additional charge (a $20 value). Later, 10 minutes of spinal rehab along with home instructions will be included.
Insurance Companies have generally deemed Chiropractors "Specialists". This really increased your cost and in many (most) cases it shifted the cost of care to the patient and the insurance often pays nothing at all. That was the "tipping point" for me as far as billing insurance so we are committed to offering a great "cash" price for your treatment! No surprises bills later for what you thought insurance was covering but didn't. Seriously everyone but your primary care physician is considered a specialist now. I realize that a very few people still have great insurance with no copays and no out of pocket, etc, etc, yada, yada, but those policies are few and far between so I can no longer keep paying multiple staff members just to play their games when so few people have these great plans. It is more fair for everyone to offer one simple low rate.
So, an adjustment is only $45 and no crazy big bills will come in the mail later (most of us have had that happen, right!) because when you leave your account is paid in full. Simple? I hope so! (Ask about the discounts too).
ONLY $60 for a new patient on their first visit and that includes the Adjustment or Dry Needle Acupuncture treatment!
In the event x-rays are needed we refer to another facility so you will get state of the art digital x-rays and a medical radiologists assessment and written report, all for only $90 to $100. This discounted fee must be paid in full within 30 days for the discount (to them not me) and no insurance is billed. It is convenient to my office and they are very quick and provide you with the digital disc to bring back to me for us to go over together. Same day, or later if that works better for you, it is all a little weird with Covid-19 related scheduling issues.
Medicare... regretfully I no longer bill any insurance cmpanies, that includes Medicare so I can no longer see patients with the traditional Medicare plans unless it is for treatments Medicare doesn't cover like Acupuncture, Muscle Work, Spinal Disc Decompression/Traction Therapy or E-Stim/Heat/Ice (the adjustment is all they have ever covered anyway).
If you have any questions please call me at 903-570-7080 and I will do my best to help you.
Charles R. Dixon DC
Remember, I am here to treat you to the best of my ability, today! No sales pitch will follow, no 84 visit plans, no pay up front treatment plans either :-)
Here is a list of our fees:
Basic First Visit Exam (Includes Adjustment or Acupuncture, if necessary, after exam) - $60
Chiropractic Adjustment - $45. (Scheduled weekly adjustment visits $30, bi-weekly $35)
Electric Interferential Muscle Stim w/ Ice or Heat - $20 as a standalone treatment (plus $4 for electrotherapy pads on the first treatment and when needed afterward) only $10 with additional treatment on same visit.
Acupuncture "Dry Needling" - $45 (typical 10-15 min. treatment), $75 (20-30 min. extended treatment) , only$15 extra for short (5 min. treatment) dry needle acupuncture treatments with the adjustment visit (ex: Adjustment and short Dry Needle Acupuncture session = $60)
Muscle/Fascia Release Work - $45(10-15 min.), only$15 for short myofascial release treatments with the adjustment visit (Adjustment and Myofascial Release = $60), For extended sessions $75 (10-20 min.) $90 (21-30 min),
Spinal Disc Decompression -$75, includes E-Stim & Ice/Heat. $110 with another treatment like Adjustment, basic Dry Needle Acupuncture or Spinal Rehab Session.
X-Rays: I refer to Tyler Open MRI/X-Ray and they are just a mile down Beckham/Troop Hwy. They offer the most up to date digital X-Ray technology. Films of 1 area and the Medical Radiologist's written report costs you $90 to $100 (No Insurance). To maximize your insurance benefits I recommend you get your Primary Care Physician to take the films (Remember the Affordable Care Act kicked in the HMO part on Jan 1, 2016 so your PPO Physician has to refer you in order for insurance to pay anything) for you so that they are covered under insurance.
Your Care Plan Back to Wellness: If you would like, I offer discounts for when you need to come in regularly. You can get $10 to $15 off your adjustment if you are coming in at least 2 to 4 times a month for wellness care or maintenance care for a chronic condition. Please feel free to remind me if I forget to discount your visit. I am not going to "sell" you any long treatment packages, I'm just offering you a discount for when you know you're going to need the adjustment anyway.
